Borrowing Policy

All patrons may apply for a library card at the Circulation Desk. Identification with the applicant’s address (ex. a driver license or a piece of mail sent to their address, etc.) is required in order to receive a card. You do not need to be a resident of Holbrook to apply for a card.

Children ages 15 and under must have their parent’s signature, proof of residency, and the child must be able to write his/her full name to obtain a Holbrook library card.

Two-week loan items:

Books

Magazines

Audio Books

CDs

Book/CD Kits

 

One-week loan items:

DVDs

Computer games (Wii, Wii U, XBOX360, PS3)

*Overdue fine is $1 per day, per movie and/or computer game

 

Renewing

You may renew over the phone, online, or in person. Items which have a hold on them or that have exceeded the renewal limit may not be renewed.

 

Overdue Fines

Fines are for Holbrook Public Library materials. Loans from other libraries within our network may have different fines and loan periods.

Late books, audio books, CDs, & magazines – 10 cents/day

Late Book/CD Kits, DVDs – $1.00/day

Please return DVDs, Book/CD Kits, and CDs at the Circulation Desk or in the Audio/Visual slot in the bookdrop.

Library cards will not be honored if fines exceed $15.00
